This tree produces lots of fruit that is great for making wine. It can be hard to find these tree's as they are considered rare. It does sucker, this can be great if you're naturalizing an area with chokecherries but if not you'll want to prune/mow back the suckers a couple times a year to stop it from spreading. I can be prone to black knot, however it can be easily pruned out once the leaves have fallen. We offer them as pollinators to boost fruit production on your other chokecherry trees.
