Cranberry - Highbush

Not a true cranberry but the berries look and taste similar. Best part is its heavy producing and tolerant of our climate here in the prairies. Very attractive in the landscape with almost tiers of white blooms & then stunning red berries to follow. This is an excellent choice for a screening hedge that also produces fruit that will remain on the branches well into the winter season (if the birds don't get them first). It is self fertile so you will only need one plant to attain fruit production. Fruit is quite acidic and is best cooked, like cranberries, the berries are high in vitamin C.
