In this engaging morning session, you’ll learn the theory behind successful grafting, including chip budding, bark grafting, and whip & tongue techniques. Understand why grafting works, when to use each method, and how it can transform your fruit trees.

1:00–4:00 PM – FIELD GRAFTING EXPERIENCE
Now it’s time to put theory into action.
Roll up your sleeves and gain real, hands-on experience grafting several mature fruit trees in the field. This is practical, confidence-building training that equips you to go home and graft your own trees successfully.
Dress for the elements — prairie weather keeps us on our toes. Warm gear is recommended.
Bring your grafting knives and pruning shears. We’ll provide chainsaws, tree saws, wax, and parafilm.
Learn a valuable skill. Practice it in real time. Connect with others who share your passion for growing exceptional fruit.
