Lonicera cae. ‘Blue Banana’
Developed by Lidia Stuart of Berries Unlimited, Blue Banana is known for its large berries with a ‘smoked-strawberry’ flavour. Blue Banana is also much sweeter than most other haskap varieties, which make the berries excellent for fresh eating, in addition to making jams, sauces, juices, and other preserves.
Blue Banana is a mid-blooming variety that is typically ready mid-late June for harvest. Mature size is 8-9′ tall by 6-8′ wide.
