Pear - Golden Spice

White flowers in spring with good fall colour. Small firm yellow fruit that is slightly blushed and ripe in late August. Best for canning.  Sweet and slightly spicy flavour. Self pollinating but cross pollination recommended for best fruit yield. Resistant to fire blight. Smaller yellow fruit with a slight blush and sweet taste. Pair with another pear variety for pollination. Resistant to fire blight. Introduced in 1949.
