Pear - Kraznobokaya

Kraznobokaya (means red on the sunny side in Russian) This is a full sized pear, as it ripens it changes from green to yellow/red. Bernie Nikola has grown this variety and other pears in his 200+ tree orchard, he said "As good or better tasting than any supermarket pear.." This pear is resistant to fire blight and really cold temperatures without showing any dieback. Excellent sweet taste with a hint of spice. Part of Russian breeding programs that have extended 50 years that are now making phenomenal great tasting pears that can handle Siberian winters.
