Plum -Pembina (Self Pollinating)
Self-Pollinating! How? We are going to be grafting a Prunus nigra and Prunus americana, as pollinators, onto a Pembina plum. This Pembina plum is a wonderful producing plum tree that normally requires a second tree for pollination. Once the leaves break out, around May 20th, 2026 we will be grafting 2 wild American and 2 wild Canadian buds onto the 7’ tall, Pembina tree. These trees will be available for pick up after this time. You will become a partner in our grafting program and we will guide you on when and where to cut the new bud grafts and coach you through the whole process. You will end up with the perfect tree for yards with limited space and planting sites. There will be loads of fruit on one tree and pollination will be self-contained.
We do not ship Plants. All orders will be ready for pickup in early May 2026 at DNA Gardens in Elnora, AB.
