Apple - Collet

Columbia rootstock, this one was grafted here at DNA. It is disease resistant with a tart flavour and early harvest season. This favorite is medium sized and has similar characteristics to the McIntosh apple. It has a beautifully white flesh with streaks of red and has slow oxidation which makes it great for processing. If you're looking for a firm and juicy apple you've found it. The flavour will change throughout the season moving from tart in the early season to a very sweet almost cherry like flavour towards the end of the season. This apple can with stand a slight frost to -5, this will make for a sweeter apple.
