Known for it's super food qualities, the goji berry is high in Vitamin A and antioxidants. The shrub is native to China, here the fruit ripens August through October. They are fantastic dried, eaten raw, or turned into a powder form that you can add to recipes. They will need a warm sheltered and sunny microclimate to grow in the prairies. Or plant them in a container and move them indoors for the winter.
